Welcome 2010! We wish all of our friends and family a wonderful 2010!
We are looking forward to a wonderful year full of fun and success!  Coda will be shown sporadically, hopefully Bailey may be found in either obedience or rally after we get back in the swing of things!  We wish our puppies who will hit the show ring this year good luck!  Lola - will be in the show ring as well as hopefully earn her WC and Junior Hunter titles!  Lola earned her Rally Novice title in 2009!  Not to shabby for a pup!  Jewel - she will also be in the show ring along with her mom Faye!  Doc - hopefully will make his show debut this year as well.

October, 2009  - GRCA NATIONAL - ENID, OKLAHOMA!
Our trip to Oklahoma was a wonderful and successful trip.  Coda made it through to the final cuts in both his 6-9 month sweeps and regular classes.  He showed very well and in sweeps we were 4th until the last go around and the judge flipped 4th and 5th.  No matter as I was thrilled to make even the first cut out of the very large class!

Bailey was entered in Brood Bitch - shown along with Coda and Jewel.  I will forever be smiling as she placed 3rd in a very competitive class.  The other get shown were grown and mostly already champions.  She was the only Brood Bitch shown with young pups! What an amazing time to have your first golden, first champion with her first litter place in Brood Bitch at the National!

Bailey was also shown in Best of Breed, despite being completely out of coat.  She did not make the cut, but she looked beautiful!

Jewel - DonGlen Faces of Love, owned by Faye Skelton - was 4th in her very competitive sweeps class!

September 12, 2009 - CODA!!  Pinehurst shows - I entered Coda so I could show him to give me ring experience and.....  Under Judge Mary Ann Alston Coda was Winners Dog and Best of Opposite,  Best of Breed-Puppy and Puppy Sporting Group 3!!  It was such an exciting day!
Now little Coda has 3 points!  What a good month he has had!  Now, continuing to get ready for the National with Bailey & Coda!

September 5-7, 2009 - Coda was entered in the Raleigh circuit of shows and had a great weekend!
Saturday - he was RWD under Judge Marion Lyons.
Sunday - he was WD and BOW under Judge Dr. Harry Smith for his first point!!!
Monday - again was WD and BOW under Judge Jean Fournier for another point!

Way to go Coda!  7 months old and he now has 2 points.  Coda was shown by Frank Murphy at these shows.
"Uncle Frank" did a great job!

Bailey & Coda are getting ready for their big trip to the Golden Retriever National at the end of October
in Enid, Oklahoma!  Lots to do between now and then!

August 7 & 9, 2009 - Coda showed at the Greensboro shows.  Friday, August 7 - was 2nd place under judge Houston Clark.  Sunday, August 9 - 1st place under judge Judy Harrington.  Coda is showing very nicely.  Little bit leggy, but growing and changing every day.  I am so proud of this boy!  Amy Duncan showed Coda at these shows.  Thanks Amy!

August 2, 2009 - Coda turned 6 months old and was entered in the Salem, Virginia show.  Coda showed very well, I could not have been more proud of him.  He was shown beautifully by Kate Batzner-Northern, and he went off with her, never looked back for me.  I was very proud of his confidence to go with her and not wonder where I was.  Coda won his class which was a real treat.  First show and his first blue ribbon.  First win for my first golden bred by me.  Even though it was a small win - it was a big win in our hearts!  Oh so proud of little Coda!

July, 2009 - July 2 the puppies all will be 5 months old!  I still miss them.  Coda will be shown a few times after he is 6 months to get some ring experience.  Plans are to take both Bailey and Coda to the GRCA National in Enid, Oklahoma in October!  I understand Miss Jewel is also planning to attend.    Bailey is getting back into obedience class, preparing for Open, return to agility in the fall!

April 3, 2009 -   I have had the best 8 weeks!  It has been amazing to watch the puppies grow and watch Bailey excel at being a mom.  I could not have been any luckier to have such amazing puppies.  All are so healthy and gorgeous and just as sweet as they can be.  I owe a great deal to their new families who I know will love them and help them be the most they can be.  I can't thank you all enough for the love you will give them.  New families keep sending pictures, it helps me continue to be a part of their lives!  Doc, Macy, Lola, JewelFinn, Happy, Annabelle -- I love you all, don't forget us!  Coda and I will keep you posted on how we are doing as well!

February 2, 2009 - BABIES ARE HERE!  8 precious puppies arrive!  4 tiny girls and 4 tiny boys Mom is doing very well, excelling in her next venue of motherhood.  The babies are all doing great, strong and active.  Pictures to be added soon.

NRCA Knights are also Junior Varsity Conference Champs!!  Go Knights!  Mitchell - you have worked very hard and have made all of us proud!

October 13 2008 - Bailey is Pet of the Week on WRAL.com!!  Her swimming photo was voted on over 400 times and she won Pet of the Week!  She was introduced on the morning news on October 15.  Bailey was interviewed by "Miss Fifi" the animal version of Dear Abby -- you can see the story at  http://www.wral.com/lifestyles/pets/blogpost/3756080/ .

September 26, 2008 --  GRCA National - Warwick, Rhode Island -- 1st Rally Excellent leg - Bailey scored 97 under Judge Deborah P. Neufeld.  Very proud of Bailey for this accomplishment as she showed well even in the pouring rain.  Later that day, again in pouring rain and in a ring full of drowned earthworms, she scored a 94 in Rally Advanced.  Only had to sternly correct her once from trying to grab her a worm!  I was so thrilled with her performances at the National!
                                                                               Daddy Chant also qualified, earning
                                                                               his Rally Novice title! Congratulations!

Peggy & Chant
